About the Role
We are looking for a Solutions Engineer to join our team at Cloudflare. This role focuses on driving technical discussions and implementations to help generate new business, expand existing business, and keep our customers happy.
Key Responsibilities
- →Drive technical discussions and implementations to help generate new business, expand existing business, and keep customers happy
- →Qualify prospect and customer use cases, discover technical requirements, lead demonstrations, identify and design solutions, and collaborate on proofs-of-concept (PoCs)
- →Advise existing customers on technical best practices, implementation of Cloudflare products and features, and strategic guidance on internet security and performance
- →Travel 20-30% to attend meetings with prospects or customers, attend conferences and other industry events, and collaborate with Cloudflare teammates
Requirements
- ✓Demonstrated experience with a scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Bash, Lua, Go) and a desire to expand those skills
- ✓Expertise in internet technologies: OSI Model layers 1-7, BGP, GRE, TCP/UDP, DNS (authoritative and recursive), HTTP(S), SSL / TLS
- ✓Familiarity with Zero Trust Framework and SASE related concepts
- ✓12 years plus of experience in a customer-facing sales or consulting role
- ✓Technical curiosity and passion for staying up to date with Cloudflare’s products and industry trends
- ✓Focus on learning, teaching, collaboration, mentorship, and growth
- ✓Project management, relationship building, and EQ skills
- ✓Desired
- ✓Experience building or contributing to web applications
- ✓Understanding of firewalls, L3, L4, and L7 firewalls
- ✓Comfort with command-line interfaces, RESTful APIs, and analyzing HTTP request and response
- ✓Detailed knowledge of CSRF, XSS, and SQLi, and Cloudflare's role in defending against them
- ✓Understanding of regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, and SOC-2
- ✓Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
