About the Role
We are looking for a Linux Network Engineer to join Cloudflare's Network Platforms team. This role involves working on cutting-edge Linux network technologies and low-level network protocols that impact Cloudflare's global network infrastructure. The engineer will be responsible for building and extending systems that carry traffic end-to-end on the egress path of Cloudflare's network, directly impacting millions of customers.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build and extend systems that carry traffic end-to-end on the egress path of Cloudflare's network
- →Work on the latest Linux network technologies and low-level details of network protocols
- →Collaborate with engineers across the company, from operations teams to teams building customer-facing products
- →Participate in the team's on-call rotation as part of operational duties
Requirements
- ✓Systems-level programming experience in Go, Python, Rust, C, or C++
- ✓Solid grasp of BGP and internet routing
- ✓Experience in implementing, deploying, and debugging mission-critical distributed systems
- ✓Strong collaboration and communication skills
- ✓Familiarity with vendor switching SDKs, SR-MPLS and sFlow, BGP-LS & PCE protocols, and packet-processing software (e.g., eBPF at TC or XDP, DPDK)
- ✓Experience participating in an on-call rotation
