About the Role
We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer, Robotics to join Cobot, where you'll help build the software foundation for next-generation autonomous robotic systems. This staff-level role involves shaping architecture and practices to enable robots to scale, adapt, and perform in real-world environments.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, implement, integrate, and support the software stack for autonomous robotic systems
- →Work with research and software engineers to develop maintainable and testable software
- →Champion SDLC practices across teams, including design principles, development guidelines, and testing practices
- →Architect solutions for scalability, maintainability, and performance
- →Collaborate with platform and cloud engineers for efficient software delivery
- →Guide and mentor autonomy engineers on software development practices
- →Review and refine technical requirements into high-level design plans
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- ✓8+ years of experience in engineering teams
- ✓Proficiency in C++ and Python
- ✓Familiarity with operating systems, device driver integration, real-time systems, concurrency management, and memory management
- ✓Experience implementing high-reliability software on robots or autonomous systems
- ✓Professional experience in autonomy, robotics, or adjacent fields
- ✓US work authorization
- ✓Excellent communication skills
- ✓Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment
