About the Role
We are seeking a Tech Lead Manager to join the Country Expansion team at Coinbase. This role involves leading technical projects and managing direct reports, focusing on building high-performance services and ensuring successful delivery of growth initiatives in strategic markets.
Key Responsibilities
- →Act as the tech lead for the first 6 months, focusing on technical projects and directly contributing to code
- →Spend at least 25% of your time as an individual contributor, driving engineering quality and velocity
- →Build high-performance services using Golang and gRPC, creating seamless integrations
- →Be a thoughtful technical voice within the team, aiding in architectural decisions and fostering a culture of high-quality code
- →Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define strategic product roadmaps
- →Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
- →Mentor and coach team members on system design techniques and coding standards
- →Write high-quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs
Requirements
- ✓8+ years of experience in software engineering
- ✓Experience architecting and developing solutions to ambiguous problems
- ✓Passion for building an open financial system
- ✓Experience with Blockchain technology (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Base, etc.)
- ✓Experience decomposing a large monolith into microservices
- ✓Experience with Golang, Protobuf, Docker, MongoDB, Postgres, AWS
- ✓Experience building financial, high reliability, or security systems
- ✓Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with onchain activity
