About the Role
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join Collibra’s Customer Experience Testing Team. This role focuses on ensuring the quality, scalability, and reliability of software applications through both manual and automated testing.
Key Responsibilities
- →Define, create, and execute manual and automated tests for complex customer user journeys
- →Develop and execute robust automation scripts and scalable frameworks using tools like Cypress, Playwright, Rest Assured, JMeter, and Selenium
- →Build, maintain, and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins
- →Manage test environments with containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
- →Utilize observability tools like Grafana and Datadog to analyze test results and identify bottlenecks
- →Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Architecture teams to drive shift-left testing practices
- →Apply the scientific method to break down complex configurations and track issues to resolution
Requirements
- ✓4+ years of experience in software testing and test automation, preferably within a SaaS or enterprise software environment
- ✓A bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent working experience
- ✓Strong programming skills in Java, Python, and/or JavaScript/TypeScript
- ✓Hands-on experience with industry-standard test automation tools
- ✓Strong understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines
- ✓Experience working with Cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies
- ✓Critical mindset to discern what to automate and what not to
- ✓Strong analytical capabilities to identify flaws in testing processes and propose improvements
- ✓US citizenship required due to role supporting US government
