About the Role
The Confluent Platform Team is seeking an engineer to join their team in India. This role involves working on the Confluent Platform, which provides a full-scale data streaming platform for various infrastructure setups, from developer laptops to private cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- →Work with engineers and architects to evolve the Confluent Platform
- →Technically drive advancements in the expanding Confluent Platform charter
- →Design and build technology to ensure high quality of deliverables
- →Craft code for provisioning, rolling upgrades, scaling clusters, multi-region deployments, disaster recovery, and secure configuration management
- →Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions
- →Champion open-source community building initiatives
- →Mentor junior engineers to help them grow their skills
- →Bring the latest Kubernetes ecosystem to Confluent's CFK
Requirements
- ✓8+ years of hands-on software development experience
- ✓Experience building and operating large-scale systems
- ✓Strong understanding of distributed systems design and development
- ✓Solid fundamentals in concurrent and multi-threading programming
- ✓Ability to work effectively in teams and identify technical issues
- ✓Timely shipping of deliverables with a focus on results
- ✓Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- ✓Ability to handle intense customer production issues on-call
