About the Role
We are seeking an Automation Engineer for a project-based position expected to run approximately two years, with the possibility of extension. This role involves managing plant systems and equipment through programming, troubleshooting, upgrades, and project management.
Key Responsibilities
- →Plan, execute, and track equipment and building projects including overhauls, upgrades, redesigns, and installations
- →Coordinate with Plant Engineering to schedule labor, materials, and downtime needs
- →Support and enhance automation systems by installing, maintaining, and repairing automated machinery
- →Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance
- →Provide technical documentation and mentorship to maintenance personnel
- →Uphold plant and corporate standards by maintaining compliance with all safety and government regulations
Requirements
- ✓Experience with PLC Programming, troubleshooting, and project management
- ✓Knowledge of automation systems including HMIs, sensors, actuators, and robotics
- ✓Ability to create technical documentation and wiring schedules
- ✓Familiarity with SAP/PUMA systems
- ✓Strong understanding of Reliability and Maintainability standards
- ✓Ability to work in a team environment and mentor maintenance personnel
