About the Role
Cribl is looking for a backend-focused Senior Software Engineer to join their remote-first team. This role involves expanding the integration of Cribl Search with 3rd-party providers and shaping the future of Cribl Search by developing a novel system for distributed and federated search across in-place data.
Key Responsibilities
- →Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with an eye towards observability and resilience
- →Collaborate with cross-functional team members and stakeholders to define project goals and acceptance criteria
- →Help define and refine software development practices
- →Work on a mix of new features, bug fixes, and tech debt
- →Participate in the entire software development lifecycle
- →Share on-call responsibilities and embrace a model of service ownership
- →Perform stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties
Requirements
- ✓Self-starter with minimal supervision and a track record of learning quickly
- ✓Ability to problem-solve from first principles and maintain focus on overarching objectives
- ✓Experience building search, query, and analytic systems with structured and unstructured data
- ✓Experience with data structures and algorithms
- ✓Familiarity with AWS, Lambda, and cloud Infrastructure
- ✓Experience with agile processes and rapid iterative development
- ✓Experience in developing distributed systems and working with data at scale
- ✓Experience working in a dynamic and highly innovative environment
- ✓Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- ✓Experience with Typescript/JavaScript, NodeJS, and SQL
