About the Role
We are looking for a Staff Software Development Engineer in Test to join our fast-growing, remote-first company. This role focuses on ensuring the quality of our observability data products used by some of the largest organizations in the world.
Key Responsibilities
- →Integrate with, improve, and build upon our continuous testing systems, testing automation, and reporting of quality metrics
- →Work closely with development teams to ensure proper test planning and execution is incorporated early in our release cycles
- →Identify performance bottlenecks, spot anomalous system behavior, and determine the root cause of issues
- →Communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
- →Perform stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties
Requirements
- ✓10+ years’ experience as a Software Engineer or SDET with a Computer Science degree and/or relevant experience
- ✓Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS
- ✓Proficiency in coding across various languages
- ✓Proficiency in designing test frameworks/suites and developing test automation for both frontend and backend
- ✓Experience designing and developing tools and tests for complex customer use cases
- ✓Experience collaborating with Support, Sustaining, and Customer escalations teams
- ✓Understanding and/or experience working with data intensive applications and data streams processing
- ✓Detail-oriented and dedicated to elegant and high-quality software
- ✓Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
