As a Senior SDET in the Product Engineering team at Cyara, you will play a dual role of hands-on technical contributor and quality leader. In addition to designing and implementing robust automated testing solutions, you will lead and mentor SDETs/QA engineers, driving quality strategy, best practices, and continuous improvement across teams.
You will collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and DevOps to define, implement, and scale quality engineering practices, ensuring high-quality product delivery aligned with business goals.
Let's talk about the role and responsibilities:
Technical & Quality Engineering
• Work with SDETs/QA engineers within Scrum teams to define and expand quality practices.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and tools.
• Drive various testing types including integration, functional, E2E, performance, and more.
• Build scalable test infrastructure and enforce CI/CD quality gates.
• Perform root cause analysis and ensure long-term fixes.
• Support production troubleshooting and ensure QA best practices across SDLC.
Leadership & Managerial
• Lead and mentor SDET/QA engineers.
• Define and drive QA strategy and standards.
• Conduct code/test reviews and ensure quality deliverables.
• Align quality goals with business objectives.
• Manage planning, prioritization, and resource allocation.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and team building.
• Communicate quality metrics, risks, and release readiness.
Let’s talk about your skills/expertise:
Technical:
• 5-8+ years in quality engineering for web applications.
• Experience with .NET (.NET Core preferred).
• Knowledge of React/Angular and OOP (C#, C++, JavaScript).
• Experience with SQL Server/PostgreSQL.
• Expertise in automation tools (Cypress, Selenium, Jest, NUnit, Mocha).
• Experience with APIs, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in CI/CD tools like Buildkite, TeamCity
Leadership:
• Experience leading or mentoring QA/SDET teams.
• Strong Agile experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to balance hands-on work with leadership responsibilities.
Nice to have (...or you are keen to learn):
• Performance testing tools (JMeter, k6).
• Accessibility testing tools (Axe, Applitools).
• Cloud exposure (AWS).
• Test data management and service virtualization.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
