About the Role
We are looking for a Software Architect to join Datacor, a leading provider of software solutions for process manufacturing. This role involves shaping architecture for platform subsystems and driving technical delivery of features.
Key Responsibilities
- →Shape architecture for platform subsystems including databases, calculation engines, UI frameworks, file systems, APIs, and licensing
- →Evaluate design options and ensure long-term performance, scalability, security, and maintainability
- →Own technical delivery of features from design through release
- →Translate business and product requirements into clear technical specifications
- →Conduct code reviews and coach engineers on writing maintainable code
- →Collaborate on QA automation efforts and CI/CD pipeline improvements
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- ✓5+ years of experience in desktop software development
- ✓Proficiency in modern C++ (C++14 or later)
- ✓Experience developing Windows applications using Visual Studio (2019 or later)
- ✓Experience working in large, legacy codebases with established patterns
- ✓Strong debugging and problem-solving skills for complex, multi-module systems
- ✓Effective communication of technical concepts to various stakeholders
