About the Role
We are looking for a Frontend Engineer to join our Product Engineering team at Datadog. This role involves leading the development of complex UI features for our core observability products, used by hundreds of thousands of users daily.
Key Responsibilities
- βDesign, build, and deliver scalable frontend features for Datadogβs core observability products
- βCollaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define user experiences, data flows, and APIs
- βLead technical discussions and contribute to long-term architectural decisions
- βImprove performance, reliability, and accessibility of user-facing applications
- βSet and uphold high standards for code quality, testing, and maintainability
- βMentor other engineers and promote frontend engineering best practices across the team
Requirements
- β6+ years of experience building production-grade frontend applications at scale
- βDeep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks such as React
- βStrong knowledge of frontend architecture, performance optimization, and browser fundamentals
- βExperience taking major features from concept to launch with minimal supervision
- βEffective communicator who can influence technical direction
- βPrioritize user experience and have an eye for UI quality and detail
