Director of Engineering at Datastealth

About the Role

DataStealth is seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead and scale our engineering organization as we build and deliver a next-generation Data Security Platform for enterprise customers. This role is both technical and people-centric, requiring strong leadership skills and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• →Lead multiple engineers across one or more concurrent projects, ensuring predictable, high-quality delivery
• →Own execution across the full development lifecycle, balancing technical excellence, delivery speed, and operational stability
• →Partner with Product/Architecture/Infra-Operations to translate business and security requirements into clear technical plans
• →Ensure engineering best practices are consistently applied, including code quality, testing, documentation, and secure development standards
• →Serve as the primary people leader for your team(s), with full accountability for performance, engagement, and growth
• →Establish and maintain clear role expectations, performance standards, and success metrics across engineering projects
• →Identify skill gaps, succession risks, and growth opportunities, and proactively address them through coaching, training, or hiring
• →Drive effective onboarding and ramp-up processes to ensure new engineers become productive quickly
• →Allocate engineering resources across projects/teams based on priorities, skills, and capacity
• →Build and reinforce a culture of accountability, ownership, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence
• →Stay current with industry trends in software engineering, people leadership, and security-focused development
