About the Role
We are looking for a strategic UX Research leader to join the Gemini UX Research team at Google DeepMind. This role involves defining the future of AI interaction and establishing the mental models and interaction standards for next-generation models.
Key Responsibilities
- →Define Model Alignment & Interaction Standards: Establish insights and principles to bridge the gap between model intelligence and interaction.
- →Architect Strategic Measurement & Future Opportunities: Lead insights into high-priority investment areas within the model landscape.
- →Drive Product Impact through Strong Partnership: Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Research Science, and Design leadership.
- →Drive Engineering Efficiency & Scalability: Partner with Engineering leadership to translate user needs into scalable frameworks.
- →Executive Influence & Org Shaping: Act as an institutional authority on Human-AI interaction.
- →Communicate with Clarity and Precision: Translate research findings into compelling narratives.
- →Elevate the UXR Practice: Lead and mentor on the UXR team for Gemini.
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- ✓10+ years of experience in User Experience Research, with a track record of driving strategic product direction.
- ✓Expertise in Mixed Methods: Ability to seamlessly move between qualitative depth and quantitative rigor.
- ✓Experience defining Platform/System Strategy: History of creating frameworks that scale across multiple product verticals.
