About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to join our People & Culture team at Google DeepMind. This role focuses on managing HR software and data projects, including system migrations and applying AI techniques to tools and data.

Key Responsibilities

→Organize and optimize a portfolio of HR software & data projects, including migrations to new systems and applying new AI techniques
→Act as the system owner and domain expert for GDM’s HR tooling & people data stack
→Develop, maintain, and improve reporting & dashboards based on HR system data
→Produce user guides, process documentation, and other educational resources
→Collaborate with teams across GDM and Google to translate People & Culture priorities into delivery plans
→Work on all elements of end-to-end project planning and delivery using project methodologies
→Clarify, communicate, and drive decisions between HR process priorities and HR tooling & data options
→Translate technical information to non-technical audiences
→Work effectively across international teams and stakeholders
→Track progress, maintain technical documentation, and propose solutions to issues and risks
→Troubleshoot technical challenges and evaluate technical proposals
→Demonstrate a curious mindset and commitment to learning about AI

Requirements

✓Passion for AI and proactive learning
✓Strong technical understanding of HR tools & systems, including platform migrations
✓Experience in collaborative environments bridging engineers and stakeholders
✓Introductory understanding of SQL, dashboarding, and generating reports from raw data
✓Comfort in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with independent project driving
✓Flexibility, adaptability, and responsiveness to project needs
✓Strong communication skills and relationship building with stakeholders
✓Natural problem-solving abilities
✓Practical use of AI tools with awareness of responsible use, risks, and limitations
✓BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (advantageous)
✓Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycles (advantageous)
✓Product Management experience (advantageous)
