SUMMARY:
The People Operations Generalist, International will provide technical, transactional, and data support to the People Team and key stakeholders across multiple global regions. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate employee data, executing HR transactions, and supporting scalable HR operations processes within Workday and related systems.
Based in our Mexico City office, this role will serve as a regional and international operations partner, supporting employees and leaders across Mexico and other global locations including the United States, Canada, UAE, Philippines, Australia, and Singapore. The ideal candidate brings strong international People operations experience, a high attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex, multi-country processes in a fast-paced, global environment.
This role will report to the VP, People Technology & Operations and will partner closely with Regional HR, People Operations, HRIS, People Business Partners, Payroll, Benefits, Legal, and external vendors.
WHAT YOUβLL DO:
Build strong working relationships across the People Team and internal partners to support global business needs while ensuring a high-quality employee experience.
Support regional onboarding activities in Mexico, including leading new hire orientation and payroll setup, in close partnership with the Regional HR Lead; additionally, support global onboarding operations including I-9 processing and payroll setup for international hires.
Support payroll processing activities by reviewing payroll reports for change transactions, identifying discrepancies, and liaising with the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely processing of pay changes.
Manage People Team tickets within the ticketing support system, including first-level triage, execution of People Ops-related requests and escalations, and timely resolution and closure.
Complete organizational changes, job changes, compensation updates, and other employee lifecycle transactions in Workday, ensuring all downstream impacts have been reviewed and addressed.
Complete regular data audits to maintain accurate, timely, and compliant employee data within Workday, ensuring data integrity across regions and downstream systems.
Partner with People Operations and People Technology teams to provide feedback on Workday and employee lifecycle processes, identify gaps, and support continuous process improvement.
Support global People operations compliance and audit activities, including participation in external audits and SOC 2 compliance processes; assist with documentation, evidence gathering, and remediation tracking as needed.
Own and maintain People Operations standard operating procedures (SOPs) and team documentation, ensuring all process documentation is current, accurate, and accessible across the global team.
Prepare reports and data extracts as requested by the business, partnering with People Operations Analysts or HRIS as needed.
Serve as an internal point of contact for immigration-related matters, partnering with external counsel and internal stakeholders to support international mobility needs.
Assist with vendor management activities, including coordination, documentation, and issue resolution.
Participate in and support Global People Operations initiatives and projects aligned to quarterly and annual goals established by the CHRO and Global People Operations leadership.
Support regional engagement or operational initiatives as needed to foster connection and consistency across global teams.
WHAT YOUβLL NEED:
Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in People Operations or a related HR support role.
Hands-on experience supporting international HR operations across multiple countries, with exposure to regions such as the U.S., Canada, UAE, Philippines, Australia, and Singapore.
Working knowledge of international employment practices, HR policies, and operational procedures.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in Workday, including data maintenance and transaction processing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a global, matrixed environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees and leaders at all levels.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.
Comfortable working independently while also collaborating closely with cross-functional partners.
WEβD LOVE TO SEE:
Bachelorβs degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience supporting HR operations in Mexico, including familiarity with local employment practices and coordination with payroll or external providers.
Experience working in a global SaaS, technology, or high-growth organization.
Prior experience supporting immigration processes or working with external legal counsel.
Experience working in a global, matrixed People team environment.
