About the Role
We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our outstanding data science organization at Deliveroo. This role focuses on using analysis, experimentation, causal inference, and machine learning techniques to enable the highest quality human and machine decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- →Help answer questions like which markets/cities to enter next
- →Incentivize good rider behavior
- →Analyze the impact of exclusive deals with restaurants
- →Optimize compensation policy to keep customers happy
- →Decide between growth and profitability
- →Determine pricing variations by distance and market
- →Adapt the consumer app for grocery shoppers
- →Work with stakeholders to translate business needs into data science problems
Requirements
- ✓6+ years experience in Data Science or similar roles
- ✓Great communication skills - in person, in writing, in code
- ✓A problem solver with a deep analytical mindset
- ✓Ability to think creatively and insightfully about business problems
- ✓A critical thinker with very strong attention to detail
- ✓Proficiency with analytical tools like R/Python and familiarity with SQL
- ✓A pragmatic, flexible approach focused on achieving impact
- ✓Excellent people skills for meeting with stakeholders
