Key Responsibilities
- →Deliver end-to-end projects within the Edge domain, designing, implementing, testing, and operating systems that handle production traffic reliably and at low latency.
- →Work on traffic-critical initiatives such as multi-region routing, intelligent failover, traffic policy, edge-to-mesh optimization, CDN & proxy tuning, and DNS/routing improvements.
- →Design robust, well-documented technical solutions and write TDDs and design docs that communicate trade-offs and operational considerations.
- →Lead and coordinate the implementation work, breaking down projects, guiding design and implementation choices, and partnering with adjacent teams to de-risk delivery.
- →Own operational readiness for services you ship, defining SLOs, ensuring high-signal monitoring and low-noise alerting, maintaining runbooks, and participating in on-call rotations and post-incident learning.
- →Mentor more junior engineers, provide constructive code and design reviews, and help raise the engineering bar within the team.
Requirements
- ✓Pride in readable, well-designed, well-tested solutions and proven ability to define and run projects from inception to delivery.
- ✓Hands-on experience with Edge technologies and networking: CDNs (Cloudflare/Fastly), proxies (Nginx/HAProxy), ALB/ELB, DNS (Route53), and VPC routing.
- ✓Strong technical foundation in distributed systems, platform/infrastructure engineering, cloud networking, and production-grade services.
- ✓Experience in low-latency, high-throughput systems and familiarity with infrastructure tooling (Terraform) and languages used by the company (e.g., Go).
- ✓Experience of working closely and building relationships with customer engineering groups.
- ✓Experience driving operational excellence (SLOs, on-call, runbooks, post-incident reviews).
- ✓Excellent communication skills and a track record of aligning multiple teams to solve ambiguous, cross-team problems.
