About the Role
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and industrializing batch and real-time data pipelines. You will contribute to implementing modern data architectures on GCP and developing robust streaming flows based on Kafka and the Java ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and maintain datasets in BigQuery
- →Develop optimized SQL queries (partitioning, clustering)
- →Implement cost and performance optimization strategies
- →Design analytical models (star schema, data marts)
- →Ensure data quality and consistency
- →Design and develop ELT/ETL pipelines (batch & streaming)
- →Model data (analytical models, data warehouse)
- →Optimize queries and processing performance
- →Implement real-time flows via Kafka / PubSub
- →Participate in defining data architectures (scalability, resilience)
- →Develop services and APIs in Java (Spring Boot) and/or Scala
- →Implement streaming processes with Kafka / Kafka Streams
- →Develop and maintain transformations via DBT (Data Build Tool)
- →Contribute to data-oriented microservices architectures
- →Orchestrate workflows with Airflow / Cloud Composer
- →Automate deployments via CI/CD (GitLab CI)
- →Ensure versioning with Git
- →Excellent written and oral communication: Ability to produce high-quality deliverables and reports
- →Ability to take a step back: Aptitude to evaluate issues objectively and propose improvement solutions
- →Team spirit: Ability to collaborate effectively with team members to achieve common goals
- →Mastery of Agile concepts (Scrum, Sprint Planning, Backlog...)
- →Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and changing priorities
Requirements
- ✓Experience with BigQuery and SQL
- ✓Knowledge of Kafka and the Java ecosystem
- ✓Familiarity with GCP and data architectures
- ✓Experience with ELT/ETL processes
- ✓Understanding of data modeling and analytical models
- ✓Skills in Java (Spring Boot) and/or Scala
- ✓Experience with DBT (Data Build Tool)
- ✓Knowledge of Airflow and CI/CD
- ✓Versioning with Git
- ✓Excellent communication skills
- ✓Agile methodology experience
