About the Role
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join a growing team delivering a new cloud-based data platform on Snowflake (Azure). This role will focus on migrating legacy SQL Server/SSRS reporting solutions to Snowflake and implementing Data Vault 2.0 modeling.
Key Responsibilities
- →Deliver data platforms using Snowflake and Azure
- →Build and maintain ELT pipelines and transformations in Snowflake
- →Develop and optimize Snowflake stored procedures and SQL-based transformations
- →Work within an Azure-based ecosystem to ensure secure, reliable pipeline operations
- →Implement Data Vault 2.0 structures including business vault logic
- →Re-model legacy reporting data into scalable, auditable Data Vault patterns
- →Collaborate with architects and domain experts to interpret and codify business rules
- →Create and maintain reporting-ready layers to support Power BI
- →Support new delivery methods such as Power Automate outputs
- →Work with ingestion patterns where source data lands as Parquet files
- →Use Azure Data Factory for orchestration
- →Operate in an Agile delivery environment using Jira and Scrum
- →Participate in peer reviews and knowledge sharing
Requirements
- ✓Strong experience as a Data Engineer delivering enterprise data platforms and pipelines
- ✓4-5 years of experience in a similar capacity or in Data Engineer roles
- ✓Demonstrated capability with Data Vault 2.0 (modelling + implementation)
- ✓Strong SQL skills (complex transformations, performance tuning, procedural logic)
- ✓Hands-on experience with Snowflake
- ✓Experience working with cloud data ecosystems (ideally Azure)
- ✓Ability to translate business/reporting requirements into scalable data models and transformations
- ✓Data Vault 2.0 certification mandatory
