Senior Project Manager at diversified-automation

The Senior Project Manager for Diversified Automation is a pivotal role within the Operations Department, responsible for overseeing and managing a diverse portfolio of automation projects. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in project management, particularly within the automation industry. The Senior Project Manager will travel approximately 60%.   Job Responsibilities:        Project Planning and Execution: Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of automation projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational requirements. ·         Resource Management: Effectively allocate resources, including personnel and budget, to meet project milestones and deliverables. ·         Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, external partners, and clients, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies. ·         Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues related to project scope, timeline, and budget, and implement proactive measures to mitigate their impact. ·         Quality Assurance: Oversee quality control processes to ensure that automation solutions meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations. ·         Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and Subcontractors to procure necessary materials and services, negotiate contracts, monitor progress and maintain relationships. ·         Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. ·         Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project management processes, enhance efficiency, and maximize project outcomes. ·         Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and financial records, and generate regular status reports for management review. ·         Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle. Required Experience and Education: ·         Bachelor's Degree – engineering, business, or related field ·         Proven experience successfully managing material handling projects Preferred Skills and Qualifications: ·         Advanced proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project) ·         Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field ·         PMP certification, and training related to automation technologies or project management
