About the Role

The Data Engineer II at Dun & Bradstreet is responsible for supporting the development and operation of IP-to-business mapping capabilities that power customer deliverables and downstream applications. This role ensures accurate and reliable outputs by operating data pipelines and maintaining infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

→Support the build, operation, and maintenance of the IP-to-DUNS mapping pipeline
→Implement automated workflows that generate refreshed IP-to-business mappings at scale
→Analyze internet-layer signals and apply established attribution logic
→Monitor global IP block changes and routing shifts
→Assist in evaluating third-party IP-to-business data feeds
→Build scripts and tools to test, benchmark, and monitor data quality
→Operate and optimize internet-facing infrastructure
→Write and maintain data-processing and automation code
→Apply operational-security best practices across systems
→Collaborate with data analysts on validation workflows
→Troubleshoot issues spanning networking, infrastructure, and data accuracy

Requirements

✓Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
✓5+ years of experience in systems engineering or related technical roles
✓Working knowledge of IP addressing, ASNs, BGP basics, DNS, and internet routing
✓Hands-on experience provisioning and operating servers
✓Strong scripting and programming skills, especially Python
✓Familiarity with data pipelines, large datasets, and automation workflows
✓Understanding of operational security fundamentals
✓Ability to follow architectural guidance while independently executing tasks
✓Ability to interface with stakeholders across the business
✓Execution-oriented mindset with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
