About the Role
We are looking for an outstanding Software Engineer to join the Unified Platform - Risk team at DRW. This role involves building and maintaining services that calculate portfolio sensitivities, predict market outcomes, and return risk reports across various asset classes.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, develop, and maintain API, service, and application platforms
- →Test at unit, functional, and integration levels
- →Code in multiple languages, paradigms, and platforms
- →Collaborate with various business, development, IT, and trading support teams
- →Provide on-call support as part of team-wide rotation
- →Maintain open communication with users for support, testing, and needs understanding
Requirements
- ✓Experience with financial terminology, VaR methodology, and analytic measures
- ✓Designing software for detail-oriented but non-technical finance users
- ✓Fluency in functional, object-oriented, or imperative programming languages
- ✓Competence in distributed version control, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes
- ✓Familiarity with Elixir, Python, Java, C#, C++, Rust
- ✓Familiarity with Parquet, Delta Lake, Iceberg data formats
- ✓Understanding of pricing, risk management, and portfolio analytics
- ✓Knowledge of exchange-traded financial assets, statistics, or financial engineering
- ✓Strong data structures and algorithm design/analysis skills
- ✓Awareness of LLM-assisted development benefits and risks
