About the Role
We are actively seeking a technical engineer with infrastructure detailed design expertise to join our bridge team. This role involves working collaboratively with our divisional team across Ontario.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead in producing engineering products for bridge rehabilitation and new design projects from concept through construction to meet customer quality requirements.
- →Complete detailed structural design calculations and analysis.
- →Work independently and as part of a team to define problems, establish work scope, prepare budgets and schedules, plan the work, and provide technical direction and oversight.
- →Prepare and check detailed engineering models, drawings, specifications, quantities, cost estimates, and technical reports.
- →Develop and review designs for new bridges and bridge rehabilitation.
- →Provide expertise and services related to the evaluation, inspection, and rehabilitation of transportation structures.
- →Review cost estimates, specifications, and tender documents prepared by junior engineers.
- →Coordinate and collaborate with other engineering disciplines and departments, including highway, foundation, environmental, drainage, and electrical.
- →Maintain effective working relationships with clients.
- →Perform project management duties, including assembling and managing project teams, controlling budgets and schedules, ensuring quality control, and managing client interactions.
- →Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and less experienced Engineers.
- →Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
