About the Role
We are seeking a DevOps Engineering Expert to join our team in Washington, D.C. This role involves transforming an existing monolithic enterprise system into a modern, scalable, cloud-based architecture within the United States Department of Energy (DOE) Azure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and build infrastructure within the DOE Azure environment
- →Contribute to modernization of a legacy monolithic system
- →Help define the future DevOps and cloud architecture standards
- →Collaborate closely with a full ELEKS engineering team and client stakeholders
Requirements
- ✓5+ years as a DevOps engineer
- ✓Strong knowledge and experience with Azure services
- ✓Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or Jenkins CI/CD tools for building, testing, and deploying software applications
- ✓Solid understanding of software development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git)
- ✓Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for Azure infrastructure and application-related issues
- ✓Direct experience with the United States Department of Energy (DOE) preferred (strong federal experience without DOE may also be considered)
- ✓This role requires eligibility to work on U.S. federal government projects (U.S. citizenship required per contract terms)
- ✓Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- ✓Advanced level of English
- ✓Willingness and ability to work onsite five days per week (Monday–Friday)
