About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Director of Insights & Voice of the Consumer to champion and translate consumer and community insights into actionable business strategies. This role involves synthesizing data from multiple sources, telling compelling data stories, and ensuring consumer-centric decision-making across the organization. The position reports to the Vice President of Global Insights and requires a hybrid work model with 3 days per week in office.
Key Responsibilities
- →Act as the voice of the consumer and community, ensuring decisions are grounded in consumer needs
- →Build deep understanding of beauty enthusiasts through behavioral, social, demographic, and cultural lenses
- →Synthesize insights from CRM data, consumer research, social listening, and trend tracking
- →Transform business questions into strategic research roadmaps and oversee execution
- →Distill complex information into simple, powerful narratives that inspire action
- →Present findings with confidence and executive presence to senior stakeholders
- →Oversee design and execution of primary quantitative and qualitative research
- →Drive consumer profiles, audience segmentation, and identify white space opportunities
- →Lead and develop analysts responsible for consumer research and trend analysis
- →Enhance voice of the consumer monitoring infrastructure and implement innovative methodologies
Requirements
- ✓10+ years in consumer research, insights, and analytics with team leadership experience
- ✓Bachelor's degree in Market Research, Consumer Analytics, Marketing, or related quantitative field
- ✓Deep expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methods and survey design
- ✓Experience with segmentation, positioning, innovation testing, and brand health tracking
- ✓Strong track record with CRM analytics and extracting first-party insights
- ✓Proficiency in MS Office, data visualization tools, and analytics tools like SQL and SPSS
- ✓Consumer goods or beauty industry experience preferred
- ✓Ability to travel 15-25%
