ROLE OVERVIEW
Weβre looking for a Field Marketing Manager to own and execute Emaβs on-the-ground presence at industry events, tradeshows, executive dinners, and sponsored programs across the United States. Youβll be the connective tissue between our BDR, Sales, AI Strategy, Product Marketing, and Design teams β turning live experiences into qualified pipeline.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role at a fast-growing AI company. Our Marketing Lead owns the event strategy; you own the execution engine that brings it to life. We need someone who thrives in startup environments, moves fast, and doesnβt wait for permission to solve problems. If youβve built field marketing programs from scratch, know how to get scrappy when budgets are tight, and can run a flawless booth one day and a packed executive dinner the next β we want to talk to you.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Event Execution & Operations
- Plan, manage, and execute end-to-end logistics for industry conferences, tradeshows, and Ema-hosted events (executive roundtables, dinners, meetups) across the US.
- Manage all on-site operations: booth design, staffing, signage, swag, shipping, A/V, catering, and speaker logistics. Youβre the person who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Evaluate sponsorship opportunities, negotiate vendor contracts, and manage event budgets to maximize ROI.
Pipeline & Sales Alignment
- Collaborate with the BDR team and Sales to align event programming with target accounts and pipeline goals.
- Coordinate pre-event outreach, booth and event activations, and post-event follow-up to drive lead conversion.
- Ensure seamless lead handoff from events to Sales β no leads die on the vine.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with AI Strategists, Product Marketing, and Design to ensure demos, collateral, and messaging are event-ready and on-brand.
- Support broader demand-generation campaigns as needed, including regional activations and partner co-marketing events.
Measurement & Optimization
- Track and report on event performance metrics (leads generated, pipeline influenced, cost-per-lead, attendance, deal acceleration) and share insights to continuously improve the program.
- Obsess over whatβs working vs. whatβs noise β use data to make the case for where we invest next.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 3β7+ years of field marketing, event marketing, or demand-gen experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise technology. Startup experience is required β youβve built programs, not just inherited them.
- Exceptional project management skills. You can juggle 5+ events in different stages simultaneously without dropping a ball. You live in spreadsheets, timelines, and run-of-show docs. Project management isnβt a side skill for you β itβs your superpower.
- A roll-up-your-sleeves operator. Youβre the person zip-tying cables to a booth at 6 AM, loading swag boxes into an Uber, and sending the recap email before the plane lands. You get things done, period.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills. You partner naturally with Sales, BDRs, Product Marketing, and executives without needing to be managed into it.
- Experience with HubSpot and marketing automation platforms to track attribution and ROI.
- Proficiency with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) to accelerate day-to-day work β from drafting event briefs to analyzing post-event data. Weβre an AI company and we expect you to work like one.
- Comfort with ambiguity and fast-moving environments. Priorities shift, budgets change, events get added last minute β and you handle it. This is a Series A company; if you need a playbook handed to you, this isnβt the role.
- High agency and ownership mentality. You see opportunity and build without waiting for permission.
