About the Role
Join our team to build and maintain products based on alternative data, supporting a machine learning engine in Colombia. This role requires analytical skills for model design, monitoring, adjustments, and understanding of financial data behavior.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build and maintain machine learning and statistical models (propensity, loss, etc.) using alternative data sources, transactional data, and Bureau data
- →Regularly evaluate the performance of trained models
- →Ensure training data meets Experian standards, raise alerts, and propose prevention and mitigation steps
- →Diagnose and resolve issues with low precision and misclassification, implementing continuous improvement measures
- →Document modeling, testing, coding processes, and necessary model support documentation
- →Communicate incidents and improvements to development, infrastructure, and annotation teams
- →Explore alternative data sources for new solutions and validate hypotheses
Requirements
- ✓Analytical tools and programming languages: Python, R, SQL (DQL, CTEs, aggregations, window functions)
- ✓Data visualization techniques and BI tools like Power BI, preferably Amazon Quicksight
- ✓Basic knowledge of Natural Language Processing techniques
- ✓Understanding of financial risk management processes, preferably in banking
- ✓Computer skills in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- ✓Minimum 4 years practical experience with Python, preferably including major analytical packages (Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib)
- ✓Strong verbal and written communication skills for non-technical audiences
