About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join Faculty, a company specializing in human-centric AI solutions. This role involves leading high-impact AI projects and shaping the technical direction of bespoke solutions, combining hands-on technical excellence with team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

→Lead project teams delivering bespoke algorithms and high-stakes AI solutions to clients across various sectors.
→Conceive the core data science approach and design robust software architecture for new engagements.
→Mentor junior data scientists and support the professional growth of technical team members.
→Partner with commercial teams to build client relationships and shape project scope for technical feasibility.
→Contribute to Faculty’s thought leadership through courses, public speaking, or open-source projects.
→Ensure best practices are followed throughout the project lifecycle for high-quality delivery.

Requirements

✓Senior experience in a professional data science position or a quantitative academic field.
✓Strong programming skills, particularly as a fluent Python programmer using libraries like NumPy, Pandas, and deep-learning frameworks like PyTorch.
✓Deep expertise in core data science paradigms, including supervised/unsupervised learning, NLP, and validation.
✓Leadership mindset focused on growing technical capabilities and nurturing a collaborative culture.
✓Commercial awareness with experience in client-facing work and translating business problems into mathematical frameworks.
✓Skills in project planning, technical feasibility assessment, delivery timeline estimation, and team leadership.
