About the Role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our R&D team in Porto, Portugal. This role involves developing internal products that power our B2B platform for luxury pre-owned fashion items.

Key Responsibilities

→Contribute to architectural discussions for backend services and apply coding standards
→Own the development, delivery, and monitoring of features in a production environment
→Partner with Product Managers to refine and estimate new features
→Implement robust applications and event-driven logic using Azure Service Bus and Hangfire
→Optimize database schemas for data consistency and efficient query performance
→Work with Design and Frontend teams to ensure API contracts support user experience
→Document APIs, system flows, and technical processes for knowledge sharing

Requirements

✓3 to 5 years of experience building and deploying web applications
✓Strong command of .NET (C#) and Object-Oriented Programming principles
✓Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL
✓Practical experience with background jobs (Hangfire) and event-driven architecture
✓Understanding of automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
✓Exposure to Microsoft Azure and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform
✓Ability to work in a global, remote-friendly team with clear documentation
