About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join our Data team at Fastmarkets. This role will shape and guide our data architecture strategy, working to bring Data, BI, Analytics, and Insights together into a high-performing workstream.
Key Responsibilities
- →Collaborate with Business Analysts to manage and refine the product backlog
- →Translate high-level business requirements into detailed technical specifications and user stories
- →Design and maintain the overall data architecture strategy for the Snowflake-based modern data platform
- →Define and implement data modeling standards, patterns, and best practices
- →Define comprehensive data quality check definitions and validation rules
- →Analyze and critically evaluate design patterns introduced by decentralized/federated teams
- →Leverage AI tools throughout daily workflows for documentation, code generation, and problem-solving
- →Optimize data platform performance through effective architecture and design
Requirements
- ✓Experience with Snowflake, DBT, and Dagster
- ✓Strong understanding of data modeling frameworks, including Data Vault methodology
- ✓Experience with data quality frameworks and standards
- ✓Knowledge of AI tools and their application in data architecture
- ✓Ability to work across decentralized teams and collaborate with various stakeholders
- ✓Strong technical background with experience in data architecture and design
- ✓Experience with DataOps principles and 'data-as-code' approach
