About the Role
The Financial Times is seeking a Data Architect to join its expanding Data Architecture team. This role involves working across all teams with responsibility for producing and/or consuming data, including Product & Technology, Commercial, and Editorial. The successful candidate will support the development and maintenance of data flow understanding, review data models, and build strong working relationships with technical architecture and engineering roles.
Key Responsibilities
- βSupport the development and maintenance of an understanding of the flow of data between teams, processes and systems
- βHelp review existing data models, schemas, taxonomies, standards etc and assess ways to enhance, simplify, and scale them
- βBuild strong working relationships with Technical Architecture and engineering roles
- βEngage, influence, and collaborate effectively with commercial stakeholders
- βTranslate business needs into clear, actionable data requirements
- βSupport delivery of data architecture work by assisting with discovery, analysis and documentation
- βContribute to the evolution of the FTβs data architecture
- βPlay a role in helping people across the FT understand data management
- βSupport impact tracing activities
- βDocument data architecture requirements and flows for multiple audiences
- βBuild effective working relationships with data owners, engineering teams, and stakeholders
