About the Role

We are looking for a Data Scientist in Operations to join FINN, an independent platform for car subscriptions. This role focuses on optimizing operational infrastructure through advanced forecasting and optimization models.

Key Responsibilities

→Generate data-driven insights through in-depth data analyses to understand operational patterns and resource utilization
→Build and validate proof-of-concepts for innovative operational strategies
→Design and own advanced optimization models using machine learning and operations research techniques
→Shape and evolve operational strategy to align with growth targets and business objectives
→Collaborate with data, tech teams, and operations stakeholders in a cross-functional setup

Requirements

✓Master's degree in a relevant data field (Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics)
✓3+ years of professional experience in operations-heavy environments
✓Technical expertise in data and time-series analysis, statistical modelling, and implementing forecasting models
✓Proficient in Agentic development, SQL, Python, and GCP
✓Experience in building and deploying capacity planning and logistics optimization solutions
✓Stakeholder engagement skills to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences
✓Exceptional problem-solving ability to develop data-driven solutions
✓Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
✓Fluent in English; German is a plus
