About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to support recombinant protein production at Flagship Labs 109, Inc. This role will focus on the expression, purification, and characterization of challenging protein targets, including membrane proteins and cryo-EM–ready samples, with an emphasis on high-throughput, high-quality data generation.

Key Responsibilities

→Support recombinant protein production through expression, purification, and characterization
→Build robust purification workflows and characterization assays
→Work at the intersection of protein biochemistry, structural biology, and AI-driven technology development
→Document work in an electronic lab notebook (ELN) and maintain electronic LIMS

Requirements

✓Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry or a related field
✓Minimum of 2 years of post-baccalaureate experience in an academic or industry laboratory
✓Hands-on experience in recombinant protein expression and purification
✓Proficiency with ÄKTA systems and UNICORN software
✓Experience implementing protein characterization and binding assays
✓Familiarity with analytical techniques to assess recombinant protein quality
