Software Engineer Intern at Forerunner

About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join Forerunner for the summer. This is not a shadowing internship - you will be fully involved in product development, contributing production code and helping ship software used by communities across the country.

Key Responsibilities

• →Build and ship product features that improve the reliability, usability, and performance of Forerunner’s platform
• →Work across the stack, potentially building frontend components, APIs, mobile features, or data pipelines
• →Collaborate with a cross-functional team including engineers, product managers, designers, and customer-facing teammates
• →Learn modern engineering practices through code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning
• →Engage with real-world problems supporting local governments responding to climate-driven risks
