About the Role
We are looking for a self-motivated Senior Staff Software Engineer to join our team at Freshworks. This role involves working alongside multi-disciplinary teams to build and scale our products, establishing and driving engineering standards, and solving challenging problems.
Key Responsibilities
- →Establish and drive engineering standards and benchmarks for the teams
- →Own and elegantly solve the most challenging problems for your teams
- →Lead by example and demonstrate great engineering practices
- →Provide guidance and mentorship to young engineers
- →Understand, own, and deliver the Engineering Roadmap for your teams
- →Design, document, and deliver elegant solutions to challenging engineering problems
- →Manage other architects and maintain a track record for bringing technology innovation
- →Guide early decisions to accelerate execution with a mindset of build once, build with configurability, and build for reuse
- →Build B2B Multi-tenant SaaS products on the cloud
- →Handle production issues and have in-depth knowledge of Microservices or Component-based Architecture
- →Stay abreast with the latest technological advancements
- →Establish a high bar for writing maintainable software
- →Collaborate with cross-functional teams for critical projects
- →Troubleshoot critical problems in production and identify preventive measures
- →Internalize customer expectations and bring a customer focus to engineering design and implementation
Requirements
- ✓Experience in designing, architecting, and building large-scale distributed, data-intensive, and resilient systems
- ✓Deep expertise in SQL & No-SQL datastore choices
- ✓Platform domain expertise to guide early decisions
- ✓Domain experience in building B2B Multi-tenant SaaS products on the cloud
- ✓Experience in cloud technologies, preferably AWS
- ✓End-to-end software engineering experience
- ✓Hands-on with architecture and programming
- ✓Ability to step in during outages and production issues
- ✓Experience in Microservices or Component-based Architecture
- ✓Track record for bringing technology innovation to organizations
- ✓Ability to identify and prioritize technical debt alongside solutions and iterative plans
- ✓Persistent student mindset to stay abreast with the latest technological advancements
- ✓High bar for writing maintainable software through coding efforts, code reviews, and code sanity standards
- ✓Ability to provide timely assistance and guidance to young engineers
- ✓Visionary mindset to achieve and define the next generation in technical and engineering standards
- ✓Collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams
- ✓Troubleshooting skills to handle critical problems in production
