ABOUT NORTON:
Norton is one of the worldβs most trusted cybersecurity brands, with over 30 years of heritage protecting consumers from evolving digital threats. Today, Norton is more than antivirus β itβs a comprehensive digital safety platform that helps people protect their devices, identities, and privacy in an increasingly connected world. Backed by the scale and resources of Gen, Norton continues to set the standard for consumer-grade security.
ABOUT NORTON 360:
Norton 360 (N360) is Nortonβs flagship all-in-one security suite β the definitive expression of what it means to be protected online. N360 brings together device security, VPN, dark web monitoring, identity protection, parental controls, and cloud backup into a single, unified experience across Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android.
N360 is not a feature add-on β it is the core product. Tens of millions of subscribers rely on it as their primary layer of digital defense. As the competitive landscape intensifies and consumer expectations around privacy, AI, and seamless cross-platform experiences evolve, N360 is at an inflection point: the opportunity to redefine what an integrated security suite looks and feels like for the next generation of users.
This is a high-visibility role at the center of Nortonβs most important product surface, with direct impact on subscriber growth, retention, and brand equity.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager who is an exceptional builder β someone who thrives in ambiguity, can define and defend a product strategy, and knows how to navigate the complex web of internal and external stakeholders that comes with owning a product at this scale.
This is a 0-to-1 role in the truest sense: while N360 has an established user base, there is enormous greenfield ahead in terms of unified experience design, cross-feature coherence, AI integration, and next-generation platform capabilities. You will set the direction, build the roadmap, align the organization, and ship.
Youβll work at the center of a cross-functional team spanning engineering, design, research, marketing, data science, and security experts, while managing relationships with platform partners and executive stakeholders. This role requires someone who can operate with equal fluency in the strategic and the tactical β writing a crisp vision document in the morning and unblocking an engineering dependency in the afternoon.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
0-to-1 Product Development
β Define and drive the next generation of the N360 experience β from vision and strategy through spec, build, launch, and iteration β across mobile and desktop platforms.
β Navigate ambiguity with structure: take early-stage, high-uncertainty initiatives and create the clarity, frameworks, and momentum the team needs to execute.
β Build and own a prioritized product roadmap that balances user impact, platform coherence, security efficacy, and business outcomes.
β Identify white space in the N360 experience and make compelling, evidence-backed cases for new surface areas and capabilities.
Product Strategy & Vision
β Define a clear, differentiated product strategy for N360 β one that accounts for competitive dynamics, evolving consumer threat landscapes, and Genβs broader platform vision.
β Translate long-range strategy into sequenced, executable roadmap bets, making explicit tradeoffs and articulating the βwhy nowβ behind each.
β Partner with research and data science to develop deep user understanding, and use those insights to anchor strategy in real consumer needs rather than assumptions.
β Anticipate where the market is heading and position N360 ahead of the curve β especially in areas like AI-powered security, privacy UX, and cross-device continuity.
Complex Stakeholder Management
β Operate effectively across a highly matrixed environment β aligning engineering, design, marketing, security research, legal, and senior leadership around a shared product direction.
β Navigate competing priorities and organizational tensions with diplomacy, data, and conviction. You know when to hold firm and when to adapt.
β Build trusted relationships with platform partners (Apple, Google, Microsoft) and manage the constraints and opportunities they introduce to the product roadmap.
β Communicate product strategy, progress, and decisions with exceptional clarity across all levels β from engineers in the weeds to C-suite stakeholders.
β Create the conditions for fast alignment by proactively surfacing context, tradeoffs, and crisp recommendations β not just problems.
Cross-Functional Execution
β Serve as the connective tissue across engineering, design, data, marketing, and security teams β identifying blockers early and driving resolution.
β Manage a complex dependency landscape across multiple platforms (Windows, Mac, iOS, Android) and internal systems.
β Maintain tight alignment across workstreams so nothing slips through the cracks and the team consistently ships with quality and velocity.
Analytical Rigor & User Empathy
β Define clear success metrics for every initiative and use data to guide decisions at every stage β from prioritization to post-launch optimization.
β Synthesize quantitative signals (funnel analytics, retention data, feature adoption, A/B test results) with qualitative insight (user research, support trends) into sharp, defensible product decisions.
β Maintain a high bar for user experience quality β pushing back when experiences fall short of the standard N360 subscribers expect.
ABOUT YOU:
Required
β 6β9 years of product management experience, with meaningful time spent on consumer-facing, multi-platform products.
β Demonstrated track record of building products from 0 to 1 β taking ideas through the full arc from ambiguous concept to shipped, scaled product.
β Proven ability to define product strategy in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment β not just execute on someone elseβs roadmap.
β Strong experience managing stakeholder relationships across organizational levels, including senior leadership and external partners.
β Exceptional written and verbal communication skills β able to write clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences and present confidently to executives.
β High ownership mentality: you follow up, close loops, and donβt wait to be asked.
Strongly Preferred
β Experience in cybersecurity, identity protection, privacy, or adjacent consumer safety categories.
β Familiarity with cross-platform consumer software products (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android) and the constraints that come with them.
β Experience working in a startup-like environment within a larger organization β navigating ambiguity while leveraging enterprise resources.
β Background working with design teams on consumer UX, with a demonstrable eye for what βgoodβ looks like at scale.
β Comfort with data tools such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, Looker, or similar for self-serve analysis.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
β Builder at heart β energized by blank-page problems and the challenge of making something meaningful from ambiguity.
β Strategically minded but operationally sharp β equally comfortable in a vision doc and a sprint planning session.
β Stakeholder whisperer β you read rooms, build trust quickly, and know how to align people without losing yourself in the politics.
β Analytically rigorous but user-obsessed β you use data to validate instincts, not replace them.
β Direct communicator who writes and speaks with precision, confidence, and appropriate brevity.
β Low ego, high drive β comfortable doing whatever it takes to move the product forward.
β High standards for craft, especially in UX, product quality, and written communication.
Location: NYC Office (Onsite 3 days per week)
