ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager who thrives at zero to one. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role responsible for driving Norton Money features from early concept through launch and iteration β navigating a complex partner and platform ecosystem, making sharp prioritization calls, and shipping experiences that users trust and love.
You'll work at the center of a cross-functional team spanning engineering, design, research, marketing, and external vendors, and you'll need to move fast without sacrificing quality or clarity. This role is ideal for someone who is analytically rigorous, deeply user-empathetic, and relentlessly executes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
0-to-1 Product Development
- Own end-to-end product development for new Norton Money features and experiences β from problem definition and user research through spec, build, launch, and iteration.
- Drive ambiguous, early-stage initiatives with structure and momentum, creating clarity where little exists.
- Build and maintain a prioritized roadmap that reflects user needs, business impact, and technical feasibility.
Cross-Functional Execution and Dependency Management
- Serve as the connective tissue across engineering, design, data, marketing, and vendor partners β identifying blockers early and driving resolution.
- Navigate a complex dependency landscape including third-party integrations (financial data providers, advisory partners) and platform constraints across mobile and web.
- Maintain tight alignment across workstreams so nothing slips through the cracks.
Analytical Rigor
- Define clear success metrics for every initiative and use data to guide decisions at every stage β from prioritization to post-launch optimization.
- Synthesize quantitative signals (funnel analytics, retention data, A/B test results) with qualitative insight (user research, support trends) into sharp, defensible product decisions.
- Proactively surface performance insights and translate them into action without being asked.
User Experience and Design Judgment
- Partner closely with design to deliver experiences that are intuitive, trust-reinforcing, and genuinely delightful β not just functional.
- Maintain a high bar for UX quality, pushing back when experiences fall short of the standard users expect from the Norton brand.
- Represent the user's perspective in every tradeoff conversation.
Communication and Stakeholder Alignment
- Communicate product strategy, progress, and decisions with exceptional clarity to stakeholders across levels β from engineers in the weeds to senior leadership.
- Write crisply: PRDs, strategy memos, executive updates, and cross-functional alignment docs that people actually read and act on.
- Create the conditions for fast decisions by proactively surfacing the right context, tradeoffs, and recommendations.
ABOUT YOU:
Required
- 5β8 years of product management experience, with at least one role in a consumer-facing, mobile-first product.
- Demonstrated track record of building products from 0 to 1 β not just optimizing mature features, but taking ideas through the full arc from concept to shipped product.
- Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience using data to drive product decisions (comfort with tools like Amplitude, Mixpanel, Looker, or similar).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills β able to write clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences and present confidently to senior stakeholders.
- High ownership mentality: you follow up, close loops, and don't wait to be asked.
Strongly Preferred
- Experience in fintech, personal finance, or adjacent consumer categories (insurance, identity, privacy, credit).
- Familiarity with third-party API and vendor integration constraints in a mobile product context.
- Experience working in a startup-like environment within a larger organization β navigating ambiguity while leveraging enterprise resources.
- Background working with design teams on consumer UX, with a demonstrable eye for what "good" looks like.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
- Builder at heart β energized by blank-page problems and the challenge of making something from nothing.
- Analytically sharp but user-obsessed β you use data to validate instincts, not replace them.
- Relentlessly organized and dependable β you do what you say you'll do, and then some.
- Direct communicator who writes and speaks with precision and confidence.
- Low ego, high drive β comfortable doing whatever it takes to move the product forward.
- High standards for craft, especially in UX and product quality.
Location: NYC (Onsite 3 days per week)
The annual base salary for this position is expected to be between $140,000 and $170,000. Base salary is one component of Gen's total compensation package, which includes 401(k) match, health insurance options, disability coverage, life insurance, and unlimited paid time off.
