About the Role
We are seeking a Staff Engineer to lead critical initiatives of our core infrastructure platform at Genius Sports. This role involves aligning various tech teams and acquisitions under one unified technical strategy, focusing on enabling engineering teams to build, deploy, and operate Genius Sport’s massive product catalog.
Key Responsibilities
- →Work with InfraPlat leads to define and drive technical vision and implementation for projects
- →Engage with stakeholders from product engineering teams to scope requests and prioritize initiatives
- →Architect complex infrastructure with strict uptime and latency requirements across multiple regions
- →Build applications and automations to eliminate toil for engineering teams
- →Drive platform adoption forwards for new teams
Requirements
- ✓8+ years of experience building and operating infrastructure or devops platforms
- ✓Experience architecting complex infrastructure with strict uptime and latency requirements
- ✓Ability to navigate significant ambiguity and make sound technical decisions
- ✓Experience building applications and automations to eliminate toil for engineering teams
- ✓Strong communication skills to drive platform adoption
- ✓Track record of making pragmatic tradeoff decisions
- ✓Passion for mentorship and upleveling the team
