About the Role
We are seeking a Chief of Staff to the CTO at Genomines, a company pioneering sustainable metal production through synthetic biology. This senior role will act as a strategic partner to the CTO, supporting technology development, operations, regulatory affairs, and intellectual property management.
Key Responsibilities
- →Act as a structured extension of the CTO, executing initiatives and ensuring follow-through
- →Track priorities, dependencies, risks, and commitments across the CTO’s full scope
- →Support planning and tracking of technology development, pilot operations, and scale-up initiatives
- →Organize and track regulatory workstreams, including GMO and microbiology authorizations
- →Prepare recurring reports, summaries, and briefing materials for the CTO
- →Improve clarity of technical updates shared with non-technical audiences
- →Coordinate between the CTO and non-technical departments
Requirements
- ✓Master’s degree required in a scientific, technical, or engineering discipline
- ✓5–8 years of experience in deeptech, biotech, industrial technology, or startup environments
- ✓Demonstrated experience supporting senior technical leaders
- ✓Strong ability to structure ambiguous, multidisciplinary problems
- ✓High-quality analytical, synthesis, and documentation skills
- ✓Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- ✓High emotional intelligence and ability to operate without formal authority
