About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to administer patient care in accordance with physician-established care plans. This 1099 contract role involves providing care at patients' residences, working 2-4 nights per week, with current availability Thursday through Sunday from 7pm to 7am. You will build lasting relationships with patients while collaborating with CNAs, HHAs, case managers, and physicians.
Key Responsibilities
- →Execute physician-prescribed plans of care
- →Complete compliant documentation of care provided
- →Manage and administer prescribed medication, treatment, and therapies
- →Conduct patient assessments and assist with care coordination
- →Perform activities associated with daily living and monitor vitals
- →Assess skin integrity and administer wound care
- →Monitor for changes in patient condition and communicate with family and medical team
- →Provide education and training to patients and their families
- →Collaborate with and supervise Certified Nursing Assistants and Personal Care Attendants
Requirements
- ✓Graduate of an accredited Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing
- ✓Current State or Compact License as a Registered Nurse
- ✓TB test and physical examination
- ✓Current CPR certification
- ✓Maintain required insurance
- ✓Good interpersonal skills and hand-eye coordination
- ✓Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- ✓Ability to operate under stressful conditions and make quick decisions
- ✓Dependable transportation and willingness to commute to patients' homes
- ✓Ability to provide basic medical management up to medically fragile end-of-life care
- ✓1+ years of experience as an RN in a clinical or home health setting (preferred)
- ✓Ability to assist with two-person assist (preferred)
