About the Role
We are looking for a Director of Product Design to lead and inspire a growing team of designers within our Expansion team at GlossGenius. This role focuses on accelerating GlossGenius's ability to reach new markets, verticals, and users, redefining what technology can do for entrepreneurs.
Key Responsibilities
- →Model AI-first design, using tools like Claude Code, v0, and Figma to prototype faster
- →Partner on company-wide AI initiatives, ensuring design has a strong voice in shaping AI-powered experiences
- →Foster a culture of AI curiosity and experimentation
- →Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product designers across mission-driven squads
- →Define and drive the design vision and strategy for Expansion
- →Ensure high-quality execution across the full design process
- →Champion customer empathy by driving research that surfaces insights
- →Act as a visible advocate for design excellence across the company
- →Work closely with the Head of Design as a right-hand partner
Requirements
- ✓8+ years of experience in Product Design/UX/UI, with at least 2+ years in a people management role
- ✓Proven ability to guide end-to-end product design and influence cross-functional partners
- ✓Hands-on excellence with AI tools (Claude Code, v0, Figma)
- ✓Genuine passion for empowering small business owners
- ✓Comfortable navigating ambiguity, setting direction in complex product areas
