About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Accounting Policy & Process Manager to establish policy governance and streamline accounting workflows. This role involves developing frameworks for policy review, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving process improvements across the finance organization.
Key Responsibilities
- βInventory existing policy documents across the Finance organization and identify policy gaps
- βDevelop a roadmap to create needed policies and ensure alignment with U.S. GAAP and legal requirements
- βCreate governance structures for Finance policies with annual review and update cycles
- βCommunicate policy updates to stakeholders and develop documentation and training materials
- βPartner with departments to identify and drive process improvements and automation in accounting
- βSupport internal controls management and SOX compliance
- βAssist in developing desktop procedures for accounting roles and ensure they remain current
- βWork cross-functionally with legal, HR, and IT teams to gather input and ensure policy alignment
Requirements
- βBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred
- β10+ years of experience in public company accounting functions within global organizations
- βStrong knowledge of SOX requirements and accounting policies and processes
- βProven experience working cross-functionally across organizations
- βExcellent communication, interpersonal, and strategic thinking skills
- βHands-on individual contributor with continuous improvement mindset
