About the Role
We are looking for a Lead Engineer for the Calendar AI Team to architect and deliver AI systems for a scheduling and booking intelligence platform. This role focuses on building AI-first scheduling engines, LLM workflows, and optimization algorithms to enhance booking systems.
Key Responsibilities
- βDesign and implement LLM-powered onboarding assistants using models like Google, OpenAI, or Anthropic with orchestration frameworks
- βBuild RAG workflows using vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, or pgvector for contextual data injection
- βDevelop AI-driven configuration engines that translate natural language into structured booking primitives
- βDesign optimization models for resource utilization, workload distribution, capacity forecasting, and conflict reduction
- βIntegrate AI pipelines into backend systems using Node.js, TypeScript, or Go services
- βBuild scheduling-aware reasoning modules handling constraints, buffers, lead times, and business rules
- βCreate scalable data pipelines for embeddings generation, context indexing, and model fine-tuning
- βImplement latency-optimized inference orchestration with streaming responses and caching
- βOwn the AI Runtime Layer enabling booking logic, plugins, actions, and smart suggestions
- βLead and mentor the engineering team, enforce architectural standards, and drive the AI roadmap
Requirements
- β5+ years of backend engineering experience with at least 2 years building LLM, RAG, or intelligent systems
- βExperience with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or Meta LLMs such as GPT-4, Claude, Gemini, or Llama
- βStrong proficiency with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or custom LLM orchestration frameworks
- βExpertise with RAG architectures and building prompt pipelines, tools, agents, and reasoning workflows
- βComfort with guardrails, validation layers, hallucination reduction, and safety measures
- βStrong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, or Go for platform integration
