About the Role
We are looking for a Data Science Manager to join our team at Govini. This role focuses on managing AI model development and leading a team of data scientists to deliver high-quality models for national security customers.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead and mentor a team of forward-deployed data scientists, AI engineers, and MLE engineers
- →Organize complex AI/ML/DS work for multiple clients across various science cases
- →Establish coding, testing, and AI coding best practices and standards
- →Oversee AI development for practical use cases in deployment
- →Collaborate closely with client stakeholders and product teams
- →Work with AI platform teams to ensure generalization of AI cases
Requirements
- ✓U.S. Citizenship is required
- ✓Bachelor's, Master’s, or Doctorate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
- ✓Minimum 3 years of experience building and deploying ML or LLM-powered systems
- ✓Minimum 2 years of experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
- ✓Advanced software skills in Python
- ✓Experience with common LLM algorithms and implementations
- ✓Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure
- ✓Familiarity with Git source control management
- ✓Ability to work collaboratively with little supervision
