About the Role
We are looking for a Network Engineer to join Hermeus, a high-speed aircraft manufacturer focused on rapid design, build, and test of high-Mach and hypersonic aircraft. You will be responsible for designing, installing, configuring, analyzing, and maintaining local and wide area networks, ensuring growth, security, and scalability of all Hermeus networks.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, Access Points (wireless), and VPNs.
- →Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- →Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
- →Implement and maintain network security, including access controls, intrusion detection systems, and threat prevention.
- →Manage and administer network services such as DNS, DHCP, and IP address management (IPAM).
- →Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures.
- →Collaborate with other IT teams to support infrastructure projects and resolve complex technical issues.
- →Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and critical incident response.
- →Stay up-to-date with emerging network technologies, best practices, and NIST guidelines.
Requirements
- ✓4+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
- ✓Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and network hardware.
- ✓Experience with network security principles and practices.
- ✓Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- ✓Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- ✓Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
