At Highwire, the Manager, Paid Media leads the strategy, execution, and optimization of integrated paid media campaigns for B2B clients. In this role, they partner closely with client and account teams to develop and implement data-driven programs across the full paid media ecosystem.
Working within an integrated communications and marketing environment, the Manager, Paid Media helps connect paid media efforts to broader demand generation and lead generation strategies. They bring both analytical rigor and creative thinking—diving into campaign data, staying ahead of digital media trends, and translating insights into programs that drive measurable business impact for clients.
Key Responsibilities
Paid Media Strategy & Campaign Management
• Develop and lead paid media strategies across the full paid media landscape, including paid search, paid social, programmatic display and video, native advertising, sponsored publisher content, retargeting, and account-based marketing (ABM) platforms.
• Plan, launch, and optimize campaigns aligned with client objectives, budgets, and key performance indicators.
• Manage campaign budgets, conduct A/B testing, and continuously optimize programs based on performance insights and audience behavior.
• Stay informed on platform updates, media innovations, and digital advertising trends to strengthen campaign performance and inform strategic recommendations.
• Research and recommend new platforms, formats, and targeting capabilities that support client business and marketing goals.
Integrated Marketing & Lead Generation
• Advise clients and internal teams on how paid media supports broader integrated marketing strategies and business objectives.
• Design paid media programs that support lead generation, demand generation, and brand awareness across the full marketing funnel.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on integrated campaigns that may include email marketing, retargeting, content promotion, and account-based marketing initiatives.
• Ensure campaigns are strategically aligned with messaging, audience targeting, and conversion goals.
Performance Monitoring & Analytics
• Monitor and analyze campaign performance across paid channels and analytics platforms such as Google Analytics and platform-specific reporting tools.
• Translate campaign data into actionable insights and clear recommendations for clients and internal teams.
• Define and track relevant campaign KPIs, delivering performance reports that demonstrate program impact and ROI.
• Identify opportunities to improve targeting, creative performance, and budget allocation to maximize campaign effectiveness.
Client Leadership & Team Collaboration
• Build strong relationships with clients by providing strategic guidance and clear communication around campaign planning, performance, and optimization.
• Manage timelines, deliverables, and project priorities across multiple client accounts.
• Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment focused on learning and professional growth.
• Share digital advertising insights, platform updates, and emerging trends across teams to strengthen overall client programs.
Data Privacy & Compliance
• Ensure all campaigns adhere to relevant data privacy regulations and advertising standards, including GDPR and other evolving guidelines.
• Apply best practices for responsible data collection and the secure handling of personally identifiable information (PII).
Success Factors
• 4–6 years of digital marketing or performance marketing experience with a strong focus on paid media.
• Agency experience working with B2B clients required; experience in professional services, financial services, healthcare, or technology sectors is a plus.
• Hands-on experience managing campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Meta Ads Manager, programmatic platforms, and native advertising networks.
• Experience developing integrated paid media strategies across the full marketing funnel to support awareness, engagement, and lead generation goals.
• Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting campaign performance data using tools such as Google Analytics and platform reporting dashboards.
• Excellent client communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain campaign strategies and performance insights to diverse audiences.
• Strong project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple client programs and priorities in a fast-paced agency environment.
• A curious, strategic mindset and passion for staying ahead of digital media trends and innovation.
The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $105,000, with the final offer based on a combination of factors, including education, relevant experience, skills, prior training, internal equity, and local geographic market data. Highwire offers both remote and hybrid work options, depending on where you live.
Hybrid: Candidates located within commuting distance of our New York, NY or San Francisco, CA offices follow a hybrid schedule, with two in-office days per week.
