About the Role
We are looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to join our team at Homebase and help shape the way small business teams work. You'll focus on building tools that enhance the frontend developer experience and support fast, customer-impactful development across product teams.
Key Responsibilities
- โDesign and build scalable, performant frontend software for Homebase customers
- โEmpower other frontend teams by building tooling and improving developer workflows
- โEvaluate and recommend emerging frameworks and frontend technologies
- โCollaborate closely with engineering, design, and product to deliver delightful user experiences
- โMentor junior engineers and lead by example with clean, maintainable code
- โSupport our transition into an AI-first engineering culture by adopting tools that improve velocity
Requirements
- โ3+ years of experience in frontend development, preferably with React.js
- โStrong expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- โFamiliarity with Git, GitHub, and pull request workflows
- โExperience working in agile environments
- โBachelorโs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- โAbility to evaluate and compare frameworks and technologies objectively
