About the Role
We’re hiring Senior Software Engineers to join our Ecosystem organization at HubSpot. These engineers will work on backend systems that power our marketplace, extending HubSpot for thousands of customers.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
- →Break down ambiguous problems into clear, tractable solutions
- →Own features and systems end-to-end, from design through production
- →Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other engineering teams
- →Make thoughtful tradeoffs balancing reliability, performance, and customer impact
- →Improve system quality, resiliency, and developer experience
- →Mentor engineers and contribute to a strong team culture
Requirements
- ✓5–8 years of professional software engineering experience
- ✓Strong backend development experience (Java or similar object-oriented languages)
- ✓Experience designing and building production services and APIs
- ✓Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight
- ✓Demonstrated ownership of meaningful technical work
- ✓Strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration experience
- ✓Clear product sensibility — you understand customer impact and business context
