About the Role
Hunter Douglas is seeking a strategic Program Manager to lead Materials Optimization and Governance initiatives. This critical role will bridge Engineering, Operations, and Strategy, focusing on maximizing material utilization throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- →Integrate Design for Value principles into the New Product Development phase
- →Define and enforce "Max Scrap Standards" for new product launches
- →Lead "Make vs. Buy" analyses for components and materials
- →Establish a robust governance framework for material consumption
- →Oversee Goods Issue and Work-in-Progress management processes
- →Implement "Point of Use" consumption strategies
- →Lead "Remnant Recovery" programs to capture value from off-cuts
- →Drive the technology roadmap for optimal fabric manufacturing
- →Lead the strategy for deploying advanced algorithmic solutions
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- ✓5-8+ years of experience in manufacturing program management
- ✓Strong understanding of BOM structures and ERP systems
- ✓Proficiency in Pareto Analysis and root cause problem-solving
- ✓Experience with material optimization software or nesting logic
- ✓Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams
- ✓Ability to translate complex operational data into strategy
